Terms of Use
By using Should I Stay or Sell, you agree to these terms. They take effect when this site launches publicly.
Estimates, not advice
Every figure this site produces is a planning estimate computed from the numbers and assumptions you enter. The tools are educational. They are not financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, a real-estate valuation, a lender quote, or a settlement statement, and they are not a substitute for any of those. Mortgage rates change daily; tax outcomes depend on facts no calculator here can see. Confirm any decision with your lender, realtor, and tax or legal professional.
Accuracy
We work to keep the site's formulas, sourced figures, and survey rates correct and current, and we label sourced figures with their source and date. We do not warrant that any figure is complete, current, or right for your situation, and we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on an estimate.
Acceptable use
Use the site for your own planning. Do not scrape it at scale, misrepresent its figures as professional advice to others, or use it to mislead a buyer, seller, lender, or tax authority. Worked examples on this site use round, illustrative numbers and are labeled as examples.
Intellectual property
The site's text, design, and calculator logic are the property of the publisher. You may print or save your own results for personal use. Brief quotations with a link back are welcome.
Advertising
This site may carry advertising. Ads are labeled by the networks that serve them; an ad is not an endorsement by the publisher, and advertisers have no influence over the calculators' math.
Liability & governing law
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the publisher's liability for any claim arising from use of this site is limited to the amount you paid to use it โ which is nothing; the site is free. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington.
